Since starting Deary’s in 1982 I have been to all regional and national congresses. I still love watching coaching and being around gymnastics.

I have been a part of Deary’s since I was born. I started competing at the age of 7 and finished my last 4 years of high school as a level 10 gymnast making JO Nationals my junior and senior year. I also competed for Killingly High School where I was inducted into their hall of fame in 2017. I continued my gymnastics on a full division 1 scholarship to Bowling Green State University where I competed at NCAA Regionals my junior and senior year as an all around gymnast. I began helping at the gym when I was very young and continued coaching through my high school and college years. I returned to Deary’s once I graduated and have been the head JO girls coach and team coordinator ever since.

I love watching gymnasts grow into amazing people.
“Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who don’t. And believe everything happens for a reason…if you get the chance take it; if it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it would be easy…they just promised it’d be worth it.”

I found my passion for teaching when I started at The Studio 114 as a Yoga, Dance Fit and Zumba instructor. I was lucky enough to cross paths with our owner Robin and soon after was given the opportunity to be part of the Deary’s Gymnastics family. I instantly fell in love with the sport and my tiny athletes right away.

I think the coolest part of my job is being able to watch all of the kids grow up as well as watching them progress with gymnastics.

Level 1, Team Girls
I started gymnastics around the age of 4. I competed many years at Deary’s Gymnastics before becoming a coach when I was 16. When I first started coaching I taught 1 hour and preschool classes, before eventually becoming a team coach. Now I coach level 1 and the team girls, and enjoy every moment of it!

The coolest part of my job is watching kids grow. It is amazing to see kids who start their gymnastics career at 4 and 5 years old become not only amazing high school and college gymnasts, but become amazing people as well.

I did gymnastics but started at age 12. I was passionate about it, though, and I competed for the high school team at Woodstock Academy my junior and senior years. I started coaching right after high school at age 18.

I started gymnastics at age 4 and continued through age 18. I competed High School and USAG through Level 8. When I went to college I switched over to springboard diving. After college, I realized how much I missed the sport, so I started coaching! I have also achieved a Level 9 rating as a gymnastics judge.

The coolest part about my job is to be able to be an influence and teach each child not only gymnastics, but important life lessons as well.
